Schools: Aging Buildings and overcrowding: Support adequate public facilities policies that result in proper support and funding for the construction and operation of new schools. Renovate older schools so that students and staff can work in a safe and inviting environment.
We will define our future. Our future should not define us: Reinvest in our community. Build walkable communities to promote "community" and a healthy lifestyle. Protect our open green spaces while decreasing our carbon footprint.
Common Sense Leadership Approach: Leadership requires a sense of morality, motivation, and a fearless attitude that brings groups together makes the hard decisions, and values working with a team.
In the recent general election, a ballot question was presented to our community regarding a proposed change in the form of government from Code Home Rule to Charter Government. After careful consideration, I want to express my position on this matter.
I was opposed to this proposed change. While I understand the desire for improvement and the potential for increased local control, I believe that transitioning to a Charter Government could have brought about unintended consequences that could disrupt the stability and effectiveness of our current system.
Ultimately, the community spoke, and the ballot question did not pass. I respect the decision of our voters, and I am committed to continuing to serve our community with the same dedication and focus on transparency, accountability, and ensuring that the needs of our residents are met.
I remain open to engaging with all members of the community to discuss ways we can strengthen our county, and I will continue to advocate for policies that ensure fair representation, efficiency, and a government that works for everyone.
Thank you for your continued trust and engagement in our local democracy.
Our community is experiencing explosive growth, with new developments, businesses, and residents moving in at an unprecedented rate. While growth brings many opportunities, it also comes with its own set of challenges. As we move forward, it is essential to find a balance that respects the rights of landowners while ensuring that we have the necessary resources to support our growing population and economy.
It is crucial that we recognize the importance of protecting property rights. Landowners have the right to develop their properties as they see fit within the boundaries of the law. However, we must also ensure that growth is managed in a way that benefits everyone and does not outpace our ability to provide services, infrastructure, and a high quality of life for all residents.
I am committed to seeing that we:
By working together, we can create a balanced approach to growth that benefits all, respects property rights, and ensures our community remains vibrant and sustainable for future generations.
